The Details
Specializing in newborns and children, I am primarily a black and white photographer, although all prints can be ordered in color. All of my sessions take place on-location, using only natural light. Outside photographs are my favorite choice for toddlers and children, with open shade being a must for outdoor shots. Babies that are not yet walking, we like to do these sessions indoors. Keep in mind that in order for me to be successful, I need to utilize the natural light to its fullest.
All locations are chosen by the client. I am versatile in many different settings, ranging from fun grasses, gardens, fields to clients backyards. My goal is to capture your child's personality as they are on an everyday basis.
Newborn Sessions
Newborns are definitely my favorite to capture. I feel so blessed to be able to photograph new life. The 1st couple of weeks of a child's life are priceless. During this time, your baby is changing so quickly. I try to capture the beauty and all the tiny details of your newborns, before they grow up.
What to Expect in your Session...
I will meet you at the chosen location and will not leave until I am confident that your family will be fully satisfied. Most sessions last between 2-3 hours, although newborn sessions tend to last a little bit longer. My goal for your session is for everyone to feel comfortable and relaxed, overall have some FUN!
What to Wear...
Wear comfortable cloths. IF more than one person is being photographed, please make sure everyone is dressed appropriately. Avoid wearing large prints or logos on your clothing. Boys are always great in jeans and girls always look cute in a dress.
When to schedule...
It is important to schedule your appointment before the birth of your newborn. By calling ahead of time, I will take note of your due date and make sure that I have a day available for your session.
What to Bring...
I love using unique blankets and hats. If you have any favorites, we can definitely use these as well. If you would like a family photo with your newborn, please avoid wearing white.
How Much Time to Allow For...
I will take as much time as we need to capture your newborn. I will allow for as much feeding time and diaper changes as it is needed. Knowing that the key to getting great newborn photos is keeping them comfortable, and as always newborns are never predictable.
